I wasn’t prepared for the gastronomic amazingness of this seasonally out of place stout —drinking it in July—but after one sip I’ll gladly celebrate Christmas early. Roasty, smokey, with a touch of the French press and a long, lingering finish. It sips above its abv, coming off as a big and bold treat.

Had a bottle of this at the hotel I was staying at in Esky back in January. Aromas of roasted malt, some cocoa, a bit of prune. Flavor is nice and rounded, with roasty malt and coca blend with a bit of sweetness. Nice feel, just a bit on the fuller side. One of the better Oatmeal stouts I've had, despite its age.

Pours almost black. Creamy, medium, tan head that lasts a bit.

Smells malty, roast, slight hints of sweetness and hints of dark fruit.

Tastes slightly sweet roasted malt. Maybe very faint raisin, molasses. Lighter side of medium and smooth, creamy, velvety lower carbonation

A very nice oatmeal stout! Christmastime pours nearly black, with a decent tan head, which leads to a decent amount of persistent lacing. Flavor-wise, this is exactly what I'd look for in a stout - very roasty, malty and slightly sweet, and no burnt flavor. While the beer isn't super heavy, like some stouts, it's ABV will prevent you from pounding down more than a few.

Highly recommended!
