Bottle poured into a snifter.

Bright amber, shines like a ruby when held up towards a light. Thin amber tinted head settles quickly into a minimal collar with one floating island of thin foam.

Aroma is citrus hops, lemon zest and resins. Behind this is a hint of caramel and toffee.

Flavor is big hops and big malts. Slight caramel sweetness balances things out. Resinous and citrus zest with a hint of pine.

Smooth, moderate carbonation and in between medium and full bodied.

A nice brew to sip on. Very nice balance. Enough malt to handle the big hop flavors.

Pours deep amber with a medium, foamy, white head that doesn't last.

Smells hoppy pine and light citrus and a malty almost caramely smell. Light alcohol

Tastes pine and earthy. Light pepper. Hints of citrus, sweet malts. Mostly dry finish with some linger of pine. Medium to almost full bodied. Creamy medium carbonation

Had to add this beer previous 906 retired but this was bottled on 8/11/16 so it can't be retired must be new. It is an imperial red ale at 9.0% ABV, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top I get a balanced waft of malt and hops. Pours to a light bronze with an off white head on the taste this brew is as thick as syrup on the mouthfeel. Very complex in the flavor with a hoppiness up front but is quickly balanced with huge malt backbone then a sweet tarty finish. This is a very smooth drinker that could creep up you.
