Poured a black body with a one finger head that quickly died and aroma is more of roasted malts, hints of coffee, than much in terms of sweetness. Beer is light bodied for a stout and has that almost creamy, silk lactic quality one gets in a milk stout along with touches of light chocolate sweetness. This sweetness lies underneath a roasted malt presence that borders on coffee but the flavors work in tandem and nothing is overpowered. Well balanced and easy drinking stout that is not too heavy and is enjoyable.
