I sampled this beer in a pint glass served at the brewery. Liked it enough to bring home a growler for a family gathering the next day.
The beer is a slightly hazy chestnut hue with minimal fluffy beige head foam that recedes to nothing soon after the beer arrives at my seat.
Aroma is some citrusy hop notes and a little bit of pine. Definitely hop dominant but there is a bit caramel malt in the background to balance the beer a bit. the ABV is hidden with no booze notes.
First sip reveals an average body with medium carbonation that gently tickles my palate on each sip.
The flavor is a hit of caramel but rolls to some citrusy and slightly astringent rindy hops. Still no hints of ABV and the beer flavor is enjoyable without being a hop bomb in my face palate killer. I can appreciate the hop flavors and still know my tastebuds will function later.
I enjoy this well crafted American IPA and encourage others to give it a shot. the brewery is definitely worth the visit.
