Sampling this beer in a growler that I purchased from the brewery recently. Pouring cold into a snifter the beer is a rich black color with creamy tan head that is roughly 2 cm and fades to a thin edge layer rather quickly after the pour.
The aroma is some roasted malt and brown sugar. I also get a bit of milk chocolate mixed in, no booze or hops on this anywhere up front. Overall the aroma is rich and fairly robust.
The first sip reveals a silky smooth body with mild gentle rolling carbonation. Creamy Texture makes this beer drink very easy and smooth.
Flavor is sweet and chocolatey with some mild roasted malt and just a little coffee bitter on the finish. The booze is not present anywhere and I dont get any hops either.
Overall a straightforward and tasty beer. Another well crafted brew from a new brewery in central Pennsylvania.
