From the bottle, it pours a hazy amber color with a modest off-white head that soon diminishes to a nice ring. Lacing. The nose gets some citrus and malt. The mouth gets the same. A pretty good German IPA.

Kuehn Kunz Rosen “Mystique IPA”
,33L brown glass bottle labeled “MINDESTENS HALTBAR BIS 24.03.2022”
€2,99 @ Naiv, Frankfurt, DE
Look: Slightly hazy deep amber colored body beneath a full and fluffy head of slightly yellowed off-white foam. The head retention very good and it leaves some nice splatters and streaks of lacing about the glass.
Smell: Bold hop aroma with notes of citrus/orange, woody/pine, and grainy, bready, and caramelish malt.
Taste: The flavor delivers less caramel than the nose suggests, and more floral and herbal character. Notes of orange, soft grapefruit, and pine lead into a dry, herbal and spicy finish that leaves some pine and biscuity and caramelish malt lingering. Boldly bitter.
Feel: Medium to medium-full in body and gently crisp then creamy-smooth once it warms a bit.
Overall: A solid citrusy and piney IPA.
