Decidedly American in nature, Peak Farm is a very special beer. Clean and dry, but not overly bitter, spicy-citrusy hops come forward with a remarkably easy finish.

An average APA. Pleasant enough, nothing outstanding other than the color/appearance. Poured from a16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a beautiful clear dark gold body with a big foamy white head. The head had a bit of froth as well as smooth foam. Head retention was good and there was plenty of lacing on the glass. Aroma was very faint and the taste was fairly subdued: mild bitterness, a bit of floral hops and some dry, biscuity malt. Nothing really stood out in the flavor category. Mouthfeel was decent: slight bitterness, crisp, some balance between hops and malt, and rich enough for the style. An OK brew, but nothing I would seek out.

I'm trying this at my Bestie's in Charlotte. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of bitter hop. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Came a clear burnt orange-like color with a half finger white head that was gone pretty quickly.Floral and citriusy aromas with underlying mild sweet dough.Really like the fruity hops on the palate, not overly bitter. Some light earthiness and grass hoppy notes were detected as well, the malt base is pretty hefty giving off some caramel and doughiness.A really nice well rounded amped up APA here,I really enjoyed it.

A: Pours a clear medium copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey orange + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy beige head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of earthy, citrus/grapefruit pith, and herbal hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of bready + caramel + grainy malts.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of bready + caramel + grainy malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of earthy, spicy, citrus/grapefruit pith, and herbal hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly chewy with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: This is a really easy to drink and enjoyable APA - nice hop aromas + flavors without overwhelming the flavor/aroma of the malts and fairly well balanced. Hides the alcohol very well.
