Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a snifter, the beer is almost black, with ruby highlights, and a filmy, off-white head. Nose of roasted coffee and subtle peanut butter rich and sweet. Flavors are very rich forward, with peanut butter notes, chocolate highlights, and a bitter coffee backbone. Very roasted and bitter at the end of the palate. Smooth and robust bodied, with a bitter coffee aftertaste. Smooth, soft finish, with a semisweet linger. Pretty damn good.
