On draft at Sycamore in a tulip glass. Minimal lacing. Decent body for a trippel. Nose is sweet and can smell the mezcal barrel. Flavor is sweet and smooth. Barrel comes thorough well. Nicely carbonated. Good brew

From the brewer..."We took our Belgian Trippel, brewed with local honey - 'Boondocks Saint', and we aged it for months on Mexican mezcal barrels. A complex mix of Belgian esters, honey, oak, and a hint of smokey tequila."
A - Poured from a TBG growler into a tulip glass. Murky orange with brown highlights. No visible sediment. Quick half finger head moves to a little to no lace.
S - Honey, booze, belgian esters, bubble gum.
T - This could be dangerous. Think of the normal taste you get from a tripel, dial back some of the banana/clove action, add some honey and a mix of wood/oak and booze (in this case, tequila). Will keep the palate busy.
M - Carbonation on the low side, mouthfeel is light, but does get fuller as it warms.
O - Definitely one to try, this may be my first or second TQ barrel aging offering, which is unique. Based on what I have tried (either at TBG or at the brewery), Sycamore is doing some good things and is worth checking out.
