From the bottom of the can: "Canned 07/25/22 1014 11:49:38 Lets give 'em Pumpkin to talk about"
Appearance: The head pours overly-large to the point where it is an annoyance. The head is fluffy and creamy textured with a white appearance leaving no lacing. Good retention. The body that eventually forms under the head is amber colored and very hazy.
Aroma: It smells a bit like coffee at first and then a strong green pepper aroma comes through. It is very spicy on the nose, in the way that a pepper is spicy.
Taste: Up front there is a touch of what tastes like nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon. Towards the middle a strong coffee flavor comes through. It has a light donut shop coffee flavor towards the back of the mouth which is very pleasant and it finishes with the same pleasant coffee flavor.
Mouthfeel: It is easy drinking with a medium-light body that has a touch of texture with a light hint of chew. Carbonation feels good. The texture feels nice.
Overall: The can states that this is a "PUMPKIN LATTE BLONDE" and that it is a "PUMPKIN ALE WITH COFFEE & SPICES." There is a bit of nutmeg and a touch of what comes across as cinnamon but aside from that the beer doesn't have any Pumpkin Ale qualities. The coffee character is very nice on the flavor, but seems overly pepper-like in the aroma. For a coffee beer enthusiast I would probably give it an overall recommendation but I would not recommend it to those looking for a Pumpkin Ale. I might try it again in the future to see if it improves but it wouldn't be on any future "buy list" for Pumpkin Ale.
