A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown + garnet red + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger thick dense creamy foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of sweetened dark chocolate + fudge + cocoa over the top of moderate aromas of roasted + chocolate + caramel malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness and a hint of vanilla.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of roasted + toasted + chocolate + caramel malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness and a light flavor of chocolate cake (more so than brownie). That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of sweetened dark chocolate + fudge + cocoa and a hint of vanilla. Minimal amounts of bitterness which fade away quickly leaving a lingering slightly sweet chocolate flavor.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable but sweet, definitely a dessert beer. Nice complex flavors and aromas of chocolate + cocoa + fudge.
