A: Pours a very hazy to murky medium to dark golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate orange + burnt orange + golden yellow + bright yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/lime, citrus/orange, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/mango hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + wheat + oat + honey malts with a light to moderate amount of honey-like sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + wheat + oat + honey malts with a light to moderate amount of honey-like sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/lime, citrus/orange, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/mango hops which impart a minimal amount of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving lingering citrus + tropical hop flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a really pleasantly soft mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a really nice tropical + citrus hop profile. Not sure how close this tastes to the tiki cocktail inspiration (as I can't remember having one of those though I might have back in the late 1980s) but I would gladly have this beer again.
