L: deep brown/mahogany color, not much in the way of head or lacing
S: coffee, chocolate and some malts
T: follows the nose with hints of sweetness
F: creamy, nice mouthfeel

16 oz can with no dating information served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours with an essentially black body that is topped by a short, weak, bubbly head.
Aroma: coffee is the most obvious element.
Flavor. Lightly sweet; much less sweet than one might expected given the "donuts" due in part, it seems to the coffee which is prominent. The subtle donut impact is some sweetness along with faint pastry notes.
Very smooth, full body with light carbonation.
Overall. An enjoyable brew better seen as a coffee stout than as a sweet or pastry stout.

Dark head that disappears quick. Sweet/syrupy smell. Mild sweet taste, hints of maple. It’s a hearty stout for sure. I’d get it again.
