Copenhagen 10/10 2021. 47,3 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Yellow can in Sycamores usual design with green hop flowers and pine cones whirling about.
Pours opaque hazy golden sunny yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor of tropical fruit mingling with subtle citrus fruits. Peach, apricot, pineapple. Whiff of fermentation. Oranges and lemon.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Well balanced but not without a bitter charm.

I had this on tap at the Charlotte airport. Pours an ugly milky brown, One of the ugliest pours I’ve ever had. The nose has a pleasant citric punch to it. The taste is pretty mediocre for a hazy ipa and the mouthfeel isn’t very nice. Disappointed.

Haziness or Juiciness….Sycamore does both, finally tried the haziness…both are good takes on the NE IPA ala Treehouse.
Juiciness gets my vote as the more distinctive beer…really nice for the pricepoint. But so is this.
Picked this up at Walmart!!!??? Here in Wilmington…wife likes Juicy (used to live near Treehouse in the Brimfield days) so this gets her her evening IPA at a great price.
I’m more picky, but still…this is a nice IPA at under $3 a pint.
Citra hops more pronounced in the Juicy version…wish they’d pushed the bitter more on this, but a nice IPA all around .

16 oz can with a 6 August 2021 canning date stamped on the bottom, served in a tall .5L glass.
Appearance. Cloudy, orange-amber colored body with a short lived white head.
Aroma. Mild. Fruity with citrus dominant and subtle hints of bread and grass.
Flavor. This has more pronounced grassy notes than expected, equalling the citrus notes. There's about a much orange peel in the aftertaste as grapefruit. In contrast to the aroma, the flavor is not harmonious. Until it warms up bitterness is moderate, at most, for the style.

Showing that there's no lazy in their hazy, the brews of Sycamore pick what's best about the "haze craze" and put it in a package that's built for durability and friendliness.
Their Haziness pours with a haze, but reasonably so, golden ale before crowning with a creamy white froth. As the bold citrus, tropical and mildly herbal scent captures a perfumy scent of citronella, Yet a light and pastry sweetness is soft with creamy wheat, cereal and a delicate pep of honey.
As the ale makes quicker work than usual of the malt starches and sweetness, the hop flavor asserts its fruity authority with the radiance of branch-ripe oranges and red grapefruit but with the succulence of more tropical pineapple and mango. As hints of papaya, passionfruit and peach round out the fruit cocktail profile, the IPA trends moderately bitter with hints of muddled fruit peels, tea and fresh spruce to close out the taste.
Medium bodied, the juiciy IPA is drier than more brewpub ready versions of the New England-styled IPA, but not quite as dry or bitter as even more traditional Midwestern-styled ale, a smooth but firm bitterness finishes the taste with a medium long linger of those fruit peels and tea. Making a beer this easy is surly hard work.

Citrus grapefruit and orange nose. Juicy citrus and balanced bitterness on palate. Has a backbone unlike some NEIPA's. Dry and citrus finish. Very refreshing beer.
