A: Pours a lightly hazy slightly darker than medium golden honey in color with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + medium to dark golden yellow + amber colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall soapy sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of jammy raspberry (sweet with just a hint of tartness) over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. There are light aromas of rose along with moderate aromas of citrus/blood orange. Finally there are light to moderate aromas of herbal + spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of rose along with moderate flavors of citrus/blood orange. Next there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of jammy raspberry (sweet with just a hint of tartness). Finally there are light to moderate flavors of herbal + spicy hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp.
O: Drinks pretty easily with well hidden alcohol and a decent amount of crispness in the mouthfeel. An interesting combination of additions to an IPA - raspberry + blood orange + rose (I wish the rose was just a touch stronger in aroma and flavors).
