On tap at Steuben Brewing in Pulteney, NY.

This one pours a clear light straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like bready and doughy malt, corn and grainy sweetness, and light grassy hops.

This is just about as good as it gets for this style, a Rochester classic. It’s got a really nice malt backbone, with an almost doughy, grainy, and lightly sweet flavor. There’s a pronounced but not overwhelming hop character, grassy, lemony, and spicy.

This is light bodied, creamy (!!), with a very nice drinkability.

Steuben does this sort of thing well, lighter lagers and stuff, so it’s not all that surprising that they’d also do a cream ale well.
