Canned 2/12/26, so about 3 weeks old. Sitting out at room temperature (~60F) before pening.
Dark brown with some ruby tints at the edges, with light tan head.
Smell is cocoa, cola, light chocolate cake and dark bread, and hints of fruit cake/brandy-like aroma, though less sweet or boozy than that.
Taste is chocolate liqueur , but drier, a bit of moist brown bread [a la gingerbread, but plain], with faint cocoa and nuts. Light bitterness.
Feel is medium, smooth/slick, with light carbonation tang and tingle on the tip of the tongue.
Overall, a good, basic, brown ale. Easy-drinking, and doesn't have to be thought about. {Except to review, ;) }

Taste at brewery. Dark brown pour, thin beige head. Sweet, nutty aroma, light smoky notes. Taste is sweet, light maple, nutty, roasty. Maple really supports the brown ale with overdoing it.

Pours dark brown. Tan foam. Malty aroma. Roasted malt body. Light chocolate flavor. Slightly bitter finish. Good but nothing special.

On tap at Steuben Brewing Company in Hammondsport, NY.
This one pours a golden brown color, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.
This one smells like baked bread, caramel, chocolate, and roast.
This is a pretty basic brown ale, but it's done very well. It's all malt, with no real discernible hop flavor. I get bittersweet chocolate and caramel, along with some toasty breadiness, and just a touch of roasty bitterness. I'd want maybe a bit more bitterness, but it's a small complaint.
This is creamy, but pretty light bodied, with a great drinkability, and a smooth finish.
This is another example of a great take on a mostly boring style by this brewery.
