This one pours a fairly dark brown color, just nearly black, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like nutty malt, chocolate, roast, and very light maple. It smells quite rich and inviting.

This is far from a maple bomb - it adds just a slight hint of sweetness. Nuttiness and chocolate are the more dominant flavors here - it's so nutty and delicious in that way. There's also a good amount of roast, and just a touch of light smoke.

This is medium bodied, and pretty creamy, with a great drinkability, and no real sign of the booziness here.

Though I'd probably want more maple here, as I'm admittedly a big fan of that flavor - the base brown ale is good enough that it's hard not to enjoy this one.
