Flora Pils is a blend of our pilsners lagered in Pinot Noir and Lemberger Barrels from Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery for several months. The result of this wine barrel lager is a complex pilsner with botanical aromas, delicate fruit character and subtle oak tannin.

On tap at Steuben Brewing in Pulteney, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish orange color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This one smells like light fruitiness, oak, botanicals, floral hops, and some breadiness.
The wine barrel lagering on this one is subtle and complementary, it adds some spicy, fruit, and an almost botanical like flavor. There's some floral and spicy hop character, with just a hint of malt sweetness.
This is light bodied, with a pretty great crispness, and a wonderful drinkability.
I like that somebody in my semi-immediate vicinity is doing cool stuff like this. It's worked out pretty well here.
