Gently poured a pint can (canned on 12/13/23) of this very laid-back pale ale into a pint shaker glass that barely contained it today (3/28/24). Beautiful huge fluffy retentive head that evolved porous big bubbles slowly, leaving good lacing. Brew is a very turbid hazy whitish brownish orange, SRM 2. The can looks real pretty, too; I was hooked by its Finger Lakes Trail theme, as I loving hiking that trail. I also like cans with canning date clearly indicated. The smell is sweet, mildly beerish; the taste equally mildly sessionable. Hikers could drink a quart of this without any footwork problems. Overall, I'd take this hiking with young ale drinkers not yet acquainted with the glory of hop bittering. I'm trying some dry hopping for this mild ale, with a handful of home-grown Cluster hop cones in a quart canning crowler; in a month or so, this might turn into a good IPA. For sure it's now a pale ale, and is labeled as such; it's definitely not an IPA, nor a NEIPA either. I'll try to correct the BeerAdvocate listing soon.

On tap at Jeremiah's in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This one smells like stone fruit, grassy hops, and some grapefruit.

This is a little bit light, but it is a session IPA, after all. It's got a crisp citrusy bite to it, with a soft almost wheaty feel to it. There's a light bitterness, and a citrus and stone fruit hop juiciness.

This is light bodied, clean, and crisp, with a very nice drinkability.

This is a solid little beer - won't blow your head off, but it's definitely enjoyable, still.

Canned 8/6/21. Maybe a bit older than ideal (or not?) , but that's what's available. *shrug* . It was refrigerated , so should be in decent condition.

Hazy golden-orange, with 1+ fingers of off-white head.

Smells of peach, orange marmalade, slight grapefruit and biscuity malt.

Taste is mostly grapefruit and peach, with hints of pineapple and lemon. Moderate bitterness.

Feel is medium, with moderate, very fine, sharp, carbonation bite.

Overall , an average modern NEIPA (Yeah, it says "pale ale", but it looks, walks, & quacks like an NEIPA -duck. ;) ) . I.e., that is to say "pretty good, and without any noticeable flaws, ', even though nothing stands out as exceptional. Given this, and it's age, it encourages me to try more Steuben beers, including this again, preferably fresher.
