Perle Kolsch is a german style ale, brewed to highlight the distinct characteristics of New York grown Perle hops and New York grown barley. These New York Perle hops have clean bitterness and subtle vinous character. Perle Kolsch is crisp, delicate and so drinkable.

I am sampling a lightly chilled 16 oz can poured into my stange. Can is date stamped 3/27/2024. Purchased in a Wegmans in Geneva NY.
the beer is poured and is a very clear golden color with a fluffy bleached white head of 3.5 cm. there are several very fine active streams of carbonation rising to the surface. The foam rests a soft dollop on the surface of the glass. There is some scattered lattice on the sides of the glass as I take sips from the glass.
Aroma on this beer is a little bit of grainy and biscuit malt with hints of lemon. I also get a little bit of a spicy hop character, from the Perle hops (NY grown).
First sip reveals a light body and fine tingly carbonation. The beer drinks very smoothly and my stange and can are both emptied very quickly in this session.
Flavor is some grain and also a hint of lemon and the finish dries out and has a bit of bite and some grassy and spice hop note. The bite lingers long after each swallow and my palate remains dry.
This is a well made kolsch and the Perle hops add a nice touch on the finish. I would gladly drink more of this beer.
