Look: Two fingers of white creamy head dissipates quickly. Color is hazy yellow and the beer has mild carbonation.
Smell: Mild clove phenols and a nutmeg-y backing spice quality.
Taste: Clove and booze with a sweet banana finish. There are a couple of different baking spices in there, too. Booze is certainly noticeable but could be much more present. Ever so noticeable bitterness on the finish, also.
Feel: Light body and medium dry finish. Ever so slightly oily.
Overall: Pretty basic and a decent representation of a Tripel. Certainly not breaking any barriers but is a quality product and one of my favorites that I have tried from this brewery. Its not distributed out of the Valley but if you're around it is totally worth picking up and taking for a spin. Also comes in 32 oz growlers at the tap room. Support local beer.
