Alcatraz Brewing Co.

Went here last summer during some down-time and was pleasantly surprised to find a brew pub in the mall. The idea may be novel, but the beers certainly weren't. There was nothing unique or interesting about the beer..they all tasted similar and very tame, mass-public oriented versions of the styles they were attempting to represent. I got a sampler, but it took the bar tender a while to notice me sitting right in front of him. The food seemed overpriced, and your typical American fare. Spacious in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, but I can imagine it easily getting packed as people come in droves for the "authentic brewpub experience", hehe.
