Citra India Pale Ale

Truthfully, this beer is anything but disappointment. Tropical fruit and mild pine hops come together with a subtly bready and understated sweet malt foundation. Made in the new American tradition. If you're thirsting for juicy haze, it won't let you down.

TASTING NOTES: Pine, Tropical Fruit, Fresh-squeezed Juice
HOPS: Citra
GRAINS: American 2-row, English Malted Oats, American Oat Flakes

Hazed dark lemonade. Good citrusy hop aroma and flavor. Fairly juicy. Good balance with little to no bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth. Definitely not a disappointment.

Hazy, golden color. Medium-sized, white head. Tropical fruits dominate the aroma, some minerals, and malt. Moderate bitterness in a soft, hoppy taste.

Goes down easy and lighter than the logical conclusion but the flavor has been done on other beers of theirs. A touch of citrus and a dryness. Not massive on flavor which sometimes is a good thing with many overwhelming aftertastes elsewhere. Steady option of their 6-7% IPAs.

16oz canned sometime in December 2020. Opened 1-22-21.
2 1/2 finger head with a portion peeking over the rim of the glass. Dense foam and excellent retention.
Pale yellow-gold and fully opaque. Patchy lacing.
Rip, zesty orange and lots of green. Mango and lime.
Orange zest, citrus all in with some gritty, earthy dough-like backing.
Medium + body, soft mouthfeel and low bitterness. Dry finish.
Good.

Can from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours a mildly hazy orange gold with a finger of frothy white head that lingers, nice lacing, smell is musty orange rind, orange blossom, marmalade, hints of apricot, honey, and doughy caramel malts, taste is sweet grapefruit flesh, orange rind, orange cotton candy, hints of peach, caramel, and orange blossom, mild pithy bitterness in the finish feel is light bordering on thin, soft carbonation. A little muddled but drinkable, a mild disappointment.
