Pink color with thin head that quickly disappeared. Pleasant raspberry notes in the funky aroma. Moderately sour taste with raspberries all the way through. Solid.

Finally had a chance to make my way down to Threes on Friday, which was the day that this and the Eternal Return: Chardonnay was released. Great vibe and a nice chance to become accustomed to this as well, given that there wasn't a line for this beer. I haven't had a lot of Wild Ales over the years but if there was one that I was to buy from here on out, this would be it as it was immensely enjoyable as well as unique, given the appearance, and ease of enjoyment that this offered!

This leaked a bit on my way home - more of the seal than the liquid itself as this poured quite crisp and clean once I finally got it out of the bottle earlier today. Unreal Raspberry red hue to this that was unlike anything I ever saw before with some faint darker sediment near the bottom of the liquid. Small head that only stuck around as a ring of lacing that slid down the side of my pint glass as I worked my way through this. A good amount of Brett yeast and raspberry in the nose, to go with the acetate, vinegar, oak, and tartness in the taste as this proved to be so contradictory: Thin in appearance and consistency but thick in taste and depth. Sour enough to be a Wile Ale without being so strong or overpowering of the other flavors at the same time. Just the right amount of bubbles to keep this fresh while letting the oak linger until the next sip.

Not sure what the alcohol was in this but it was present by the time I finished this off. I loved this beer from the get-go and was upset that I was only able to obtain two bottles last week, as that was the limit on this. Combined with the warmer weather of late and the biergarten-like atmosphere of the brewery, this easily made me want to come back for more in the future. Yet another reason why the Big Apple is turning heads on the beer scene and easily the best Wild Ale that I've ever had!
