Pale yellow color. Nice, white head. Bread, hay, hint of smoke, and wood in the aroma. Malty, crisp, with light smoky notes in taste. Gentle, hoppy bitterness.

Slightly hazy gold with a soapy white head. Partly fizzes away quickly, but then better retention than expected.
Aroma of faint smoke, chicken broth, hay, bread crust, lemon oil, white peach, white pepper, slight funk.
Tastes of rich white bread and bread crust, white cracker, and a dollop of honey--with a tantalizing touch of smoke. Not quite meaty, but slightly savory. Followed by hay, white peach, white grape, lemon balm, bell pepper flesh, and a hint of white pepper. Finishes with a hint of sweetness, but then crisp and clean. A bit of hay and smoke lingers momentarily.
Light mouthfeel, well carbonated, not watery in the slightest. Surprisingly rich and bready for the low abv.
Overall, a fantastic Helles. I wish the smoke and oak popped just a bit more. Amazing crusher, though

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down a bit but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of smoke and biscuit malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of biscuity malts along with bits fo smoke.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has some nice hints of smoky aromas and flavors.

16 oz can. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy, white head. Aroma is of bready malt and grassy hops. Body is medium and crisp. Bready malt and grassy hops nicely balanced on the palate. Finish is medium and dry. Very good brew.

Picked up a can at Astoria Bier & Cheese. This is my favorite kind of lager, subtle and weird. The foudre character is mild, with a slight earthiness that reminds me of kellerbier. The smoke is restrained and well-balanced against the light hops and spice. Hell of a beer.
