Mid sized bottle, purchased at the outpost in BKLYN, NY...thanks to my sonand daughter-in-law for this and the other bottles in the xmass gift box I was lucky enough to receive from them from this fine brewery.
When i saw this was a "Buckwheat ale" I wasnt thinkin wild ale, this is a welcome surprise....
Pours light, golden amber, hazed, minor head
Earthy nose, with some biting lime notes.
Brightly sour, with more lime, more earthiness, some brett like qualities
This an approachable sour/wild ale, complex, medium sour and quite yummy...one thing I did not get was any "oak"characteristics....oh well, it went great with some stinky cheese and crackers....go get some
