We're especially proud of this latest IPA, a beer named after the 1996 public contest that helped reimagine Governor's Island from a military base into a family-friendly park for activities, art, ecology, and community. That's the spirit of what we aim to convey with this beer, both with the flavor and playful label design. It should be noted that 10% of all of the proceeds of this beer will be donated to The Governors Island Trust, the group entrusted with mapping the vision and execution of this vibrant resource in our great city.

Support a good cause, drink this beer. Color is deep copper and has a thick, frothy head. Nose is full on citrus and pine, as is the taste. Very well done!

A: The beer is very hazy brownish yellow in color. It poured with a short off white head that left a collar around the edge and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of watermelon are present in the nose along with notes of gooseberry.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of watermelon along with notes of gooseberry and lime. Little to if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the aromas and flavors of watermelon in this beer, which were complimented by the gooseberries and lime. It is very easy to drink.
