Canned 2/17/19
Pours a dark mocha colored thick frothy head with medium retention, some lacing, very dark almost black color
Nose is pretty nice, flagrant malt aromas, roasty malt, almost char like, nice roasty coffee, sharp roast bordering a smokey note, with some cocoa and dark chocolate in the background, smokey getting a bit more as it warms
Taste brings tons of roast again, charred malt, dark roast and black malt, borderline acrid, fresh roasty dark roasted coffee, into more dark chocolate, cocoa, little baking spice and a little smokey again, fair spicy hops in the middle, with the roasty malts adding to the bitterness which is med then a little higher on the finish
Mouth is fuller bod, light alcohol, medium carb
Overall solid export with lots of roast, fair coffee, gets a tad too acrid burnt, although the smokey is light and interesting, should be more coffee as well if they say it on the can
