On tap at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn, NY.
This one pours a golden brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like nutty malt, floral hops, touch of spice, and breadiness.
This is two extremely competent breweries coming together and brewing one of my favorite styles - of course I’m gonna like it. It’s got a clean and just mildly sweet maltiness, with a touch of subtle spice that might be from the foudre. There’s a sturdy hop character, floral with an appreciative bitterness - not too high, not too low.
This is light bodied, crisp, creamy, and extremely drinkable.
This is well brewed, and clearly a style that would work well with some foudre aging. It’s a great effort from two excellent breweries.

Pours a dark amber with tan head. Smell of caramel and maybe some red grapes (the ones you eat, not the fermented kind). Some black tea hop character as well. It's got some caramel, toffee, nutty notes that is underpinned by a prominent herbal character that I am guessing I should attribute to the foeder. It's on the drier side and I'd call this well attenuated. Having only had Fox Farm's regular altbier between these two breweries' offerings, I ask myself "do you like this better than Stet?" The answer is no. While this has some of the same tasting notes as Stet, I find the Foeder treatment to be somewhat of a detractor from those notes I enjoyed in the Fox Farm beer. With that said, I don't really find any fault with this technically, nor am I wholly turned off to the "foeder aged lager" trend that has been going on the last couple of years.

NO can date
Pours a frothy dense 1+ finger head with moderate retention, nice sticky lacing, darker semi clear chestnut to brick red color
Nose sweet caramel toasted reddish biscuity malt, a bit of a spicy herbal hop
Taste brings more toasted biscuity reddish malt, toasted brown malts with a bit of chocolate and coffee, bread crust, hint of caramel, fair herbal spicy hops, med-lighter bitterness, hint vanilla spice oak like, drier finish more spicy hops with med-lighter bitterness
Mouth is med bod to a bit fuller richer, med frothy carb
Overall pretty nice, bitterness was a bit on the light side at first but seems to build to a better level, good malt, nice beer in general

Pours a clear caramel and copper color. A modest head dissipates and leaves some lacing.
Aromas evoke notes of bread crust and toast, imparting a modest sweetness. The Foudre adds notes of oak and wood, while the hops character is mildly floral and a bit lemony.
Clean bready and toasty malts, not particularly sweet, are balanced by earthy and citrusy hops. Notes of wood, peppery spices, lemon, cracker, bread crust and a touch of bitterness.
Medium to light bodied and smooth. The finish is crisp and the carbonation is lively.
Easy drinking and well balanced. I would have again.

This one pours a clear light brown color. Thick, velvety light brown head forms on the beer. The head recedes, but not completely and a thin layer of off-white foam remains on the beer along with lots of sticky lacing. Aroma has notes of grainy malts, some light oak and woody notes, bready malts, earthy hops, with some herbal, leafy notes.
Taste follows the nose with grainy malts, light notes of nuts and bread, giving way to some earthy hop notes, dried leaves, grass with a moderate bitterness. The foudre fermentation comes through with an overarching oaky, woodiness to the profile. Feel is light and smooth. Moderately carbonated. Semi-dry finish.
Overall this is really nice - I like the character the foudre fermentation added to the beer.
