Black color with a big, beige head. Vanilla, milk chocolate, bourbon, and tobacco in the aroma. Same notes in taste. Moderate, roasted bitterness with pronounced wood notes in the end.

Canned... sometime. That's one sloppy ink job. (Pro tip: ask for one of those at your local brothel. The sloppier the better.)

Malted milk ball head over a very dark black body. Head hangs out longer than anticipated. We chat, these bubbles and I; discuss our Thanksgiving plans. Turns out he's not going to make it, on account of being so enticing and all. Lame sidebar aside, this beer sports one fantastic nose. Vanilla, bourbon barrel, coconut, chocolate chip cookies, huge roasted malts, touch of smoke. Fuck; this is everything I want when I smell a big ass barrel-aged porter. Smoke ramps up on the front of the tongue and I approve. Vanilla doesn't overwhelm as I always fear it might. Overall, it's a bit muted (maybe even something of a letdown) when compared to the nose, but it's pleasant enough. Dry and slightly bitter, which I prefer over sweet and cloying. Medium-bodied and slightly oily. Yeah; this is pretty nice. Nothing crazy, but something to warm my bones after walking the dog on a cold night. *Thumbs up*

A: The beer is nearly jet black in color - only traces of dark brown are visible near the edges of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that left a thin film of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of vanilla are present in the nose along with underling notes of bourbon.
T: The taste follows the smell but seems to have more balance between the vanilla beans and bourbon.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the taste of this beer has a nice balance between flavors of bourbon and vanilla. It also did a remarkable job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste.
