Black color. Thin, beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, and whiskey. Well balanced taste with moderate sweetness and notes of wood at the end.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short light tan head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of brandy are present in the nose along with notes of bourbon.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of brandy and bourbon along with underlying notes of dark and chocolate malts.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and very smooth on the palate. There is a touch of warming in the finish.
O: This stout does a particularly nice job at blending the flavors of the brandy and bourbon barrels as the taste has a good balance between the two.
