Dark brown color.Medium-sized. off-white head. Dried fruits, brandied cherries, and caramel malt in the aroma. Same notes follow into a malty but not too sweet taste.

Vinous, all the tannic dryness without much sweetness, taking notes more from the barrel than the port itself. Fairly thin and occasionally giving a dilute impression on the palate. Scuppernong and cranberry on the nose, which is more attractive than the follow through.
