Mostly clear amber brown body with a huge beige head. Smells has the foeder with bready and earthy tones, but the thing that stands out is new world hops with a fruity generality about it. Taste is strangely fruity even with that nose, big grapefruit, lemon and even papaya in there, plunging into medium toned caramel malts, bright oak in a gentle way, dry shallow earth, and brown bread yeast. Feel finishes well with the hops and drier yeast, and the start with the oak is nice, but the middle is more watery malt centric. Kind of odd, especially since I found the orignal a good new world example of the style

16oz can from Tavour. Clear amber pour, thin creamy off-white head. Aroma is bready, malty, woody. Taste brings notes of caramel, brown bread, malty, oak.

Pours a very clear, burgundy color with an off white to slightly tan head. Nose is malty and herbal, slightly cola like. Taste is malt forward with a fairly dry finish.
