Pours a dark red and cola brown, mostly clear, 3" very soapy head with excellent retention and spotty lacing. Nose is well-roasted malt, Melba toast, dark pretzels, honey as it warms. Taste is spicy rye, spicy hop, pumpernickel bread sweet melba toast, trace of dark fruit, mildly dinner. Feel is moderate with small carbonation, full mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyed this one, and always good to see new beers within this style - hope to see more.
