Pours an iced tea color with off-white head of 1/2 finger.
Whiskey barrel is prominent in the nose, with slight nuttiness and some piney hops. Light brown sugar.
Flavor is very woody with faint outliers of hazelnut, finishing with alcohol heat and piney hops. A bit harsh, slightly astringent.
Firmly medium bodied, proper carbonation, slight burn from both alcohol and carbonation.
Overall not particularly enjoyable, it's a bit harsh, and while the piney hops are characteristic to style, they clash. The Hazelnut is merely an advertisement to me at this point.
