This is my first brew from NBC! Into a snifter this settles a near jet black color under a tan, well sustained head with a persistent lacing. Aroma is an alluring blend of floral and pine hops with a light dark roasted malt note. A smooth, almost creamy, and lightly crisp mouthfeel from the start gently delivers a noticeable roasted malt character that's beautifully and brightly bitter'd UP by a generous load of Simcoe hops (88 IBU). I pick up on echoing ending notes of roasted nut, dark espresso bean, and an overall pine hop bitterness. Paired with Colston Bassett Stilton cheese--what a combo...Very nice, NBC...You're gonna make me book a flight to Nebraska...
