This is a fantastically fresh-tasting and refreshing IPA, it's probably a good thing you can only get it on tap so far to fully appreciate its quality. A little fruity and citrusy, very little malt but still a little sweet and hardly any bitterness. A nice piney, quality like a forest floor takes over about midway through, with fruit in the front and a crisp, clean finish in the back, with a bit of a chewy, resinous afterglow. A perfect first pint at the bar after a hard day's work.

Notes are from the Hellbender release at Churchkey. Pours a slightly hazy dark goldish-orange color with a full pure white head that laces the glass the whole way down.
The nose is citrus hops, pine, resin, grapefruit, light malt. The flavor is good, but could be better. Good hop content, bitter citrus rinds, a little earthy spice, pine, with a malty backbone finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thick and sticky. I prefer my IPA's to be clean and fresh, rather than coating my mouth.
Of their two initial releases, I preferred the Red Line.
