Served on tap at the JAX Seven Bridges location.
A fine brown-copper color with a small and semi-durable off-white head. limited lacing.

Light-medium body with near medium carbonation. Excellent clarity.

Aroma: faint and subtle; caramel and biscuity malts. Subtly spicy.

Flavor: average level of bitterness for style but perhaps more sweetness up front; subtle hops.

Solid brown. Nice maltiness, followed by a sweet finish. Very true to the style, which I would expect from a "chain" like brew pub. ABV was 5.2% on the beer menu. I didn't really want to review, but am continuing to type to fulfill a minimum amount of characters? I saw the ABV was missing, so thought I'd add.

A: single finger head with nice lace. Murky brown with amber tinge.

S: very nutty and sweet with some of that wet sock hop smell

T: very nice nut and mild toasted sweet flavor. Sort of a standard brown taste.

M: medium but fuller bodied than many browns. Smooth and moderately carbonated

Overall: very drinkable. A nice standard brown ale.

4.0 on App, Smell & Taste. very well done across the board.
3.5 on MF as I dont yet get the whole cask thing just yet.
4.0 on drinkability as I would drink this cask offering in the right context.

Excellent head, retention and dark nutty brown color. Nutty malt aroma, followed by dark fruit notes. Taste is a fruity brown ale with a solid nutty finish. Mouthfeel is warm serving temp, low carbo, but full body.

Easily their best beer there.

appearance: deep dark brown, loaded head and creamy froth. Was beautiful

smell: hint of hops, and and a sweet nutty smell

taste: rich and slight nutty roasted flavors, sweet, but not too sweet, good balance

mouthfeel: good carbonation and very tasty

drinkability: quality and the name is prefect.

deep brown body with ruddy highlights, persistent tan head, minimal lace
not a very strong nasal presence. have also had this on cask, where it developed an astringent smell with hints of rubbing alcohol
somewhat sweet, easy going, very little bitterness--which lets the modest amount of sweetness take center stage. there is also a faint nuttiness. on cask this is more like sucking on a teabag steeped in tree sap.
medium bodied. on cask the carbonation is largely missing and the syrup texture predominates.
on tap this is a friendly enough brew, but not particularly engaging.

Poured form tap into pint glass.

Appearance--Solid brown, with small, quickly dissipating head.

Smell--faint malts

Taste/Mouthfeel--pretty good example of a brown ale, nothing earthshattering, mild malts. Smooth in the mouth, carbonation seems about righ.

Drinkability--goes down easy enough

Notes-Pretty solid English style brown ale.

On tap at the Southside Seven Bridges location. Full rich brown color. Creamy, bubbly thick dark khaki head. Rich hop bubbles pop through. This beer screams drink me !
Nice hop presence on the nose, crisp and inviting under the powerful chocolate and toasted almonds flavors. First taste is super smooth and full of chocolate malt, toasted malt, and slight nutty sweetness. Really good feel, thick and rich yet very drinkable. Bubbly fullness and creamy feel, and super full nutty and chocolate malt flavors make this one memorable. A little brother to Rogue Hazelnut Brown Necter, the flavors here are more in subtle and less sweet.
This is my second visit here and I always have this beer first.
