A - A dark brown body with decent clarity, topped by a nice, two finger head of off-white foam that displays good retention and lace.
S - Some toffee notes and light caramel. A hint of roasted malt and little else.
T - Brown and malty with a little bit of caramel. Smooth toffee in the middle with light roast that add depth to the malt character. Finishes smooth and malty with little bitterness but enough roasted character and dryness to remain well balanced.
M - Thick body, low carbonation, and a dry finish.
D - Very drinkable, this beer isn't terribly complex but it is enjoyable and well balanced. My only complaint is the lack of promised mint character; I just don't get anything I can identify as mint in the aroma or flavor. Nevertheless, it is a very sessionable brown ale with a nice malt character that works well on cask.
