I still listed this as an Oktoberfest but it is actually brewed as an ale, ie an ale version of their Oktoberfest seasonal.
Two finger head with excellent retention and lacing on a amber with slight orange hue. Aroma is very earthy, not as spicey as I want for the style with additional caramel, apple and grains notes. Flavors follow with more of the same but more spicey notes. Dominating flavors include caramel, butter, nutmeg, pumpkin, breads and herbs. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The ale yeast makes this in feel much more full flavored and body. I prefer this over the standard Oktoberfest.
