Served in a tulip glass during dinner. Had a cloudy dark amber appearance, minimal lacing on the glass. The aroma was spicy with a pleasant yeasty smell.
The first sip brings on a taste of clove and that belgian yeastiness again. This mellows as it warms. Good attempt at the style and worth a try but most Belgian ones would top it.
