Bottle: Poured a medium color amber ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and not much lacing. Aroma of rye malt and lightly sweet undertones is pleasant though not very affirmative. Taste is not the most complex and somewhat lacking in character though refreshing with simple rye malt and light sweet notes. Body is about average with average carbonation.

Troy brought this bottle over - thanks T-bag!
Pours a rich amber with a finger of creamy off-white head. Some nice lacing spots and excellent retention. The aroma is complex and moreish. In a way it smells like gingerbread dough, but its so much more than that. Brown sugar, cinamon, ginger, marzipan, flowers, earth, bread... almost too much to take in.
Likewise the taste has a great complexity to it and a mix of all the aforementioned flavours, but with even more of a prominent cookie dough and spice character. Perhaps some pine in the finish? Its fairly sweet and spicy, but I like it. The body is medium as is the carbonation.
Certainly an interesting beer, and one that I think is well-executed. I wish I had a few bottles of my own!
