Copenhagen 28/10 2019. 44 cl can from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel). Drawing of a Unicorn doing Pole-dancing. You can peel off the label to an inner label with some information on the beer, Braw and Coffee Lab.
Pours murky, hazy golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fruity with tropical fruit and citrus fruit intermingling and with a malty, roasted, coffee odor in the background. Peach and Pine apple. Citrus and Grapefruit. Roasted malts and coffee.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter - citric with a touch of bitter coffee. Lingers for a while.
Coffee and IPA is surprisingly not bad mix. Reminds me a little of a Black IPA in some ways and the coffee bitterness adds to the bitterness in a fine way.
