Copenhagen 27/5 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé. Pretty chaotic can with what looks like a map and a spinal column painted with black and orange and purple blotches. Apparently a new Art Lab-series from Nørrebro Bryghus. That explains the blotches.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a big, off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam accurately covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with medium strong malty sweetness and a light roastiness. Caramel, toffee, sweet biscuits. Light tart notes of unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and little rough. Lingers for a while.
Surprisingly bitter Brown Ale. A bit rough around the edges - but not bad for a Art beer.
