Gamle Københavner is a classic Bavarian lager in new bottles, brewed with respect for tradition, but with 100% organic Danish malt. Golden reddish brown in color due to the use of the Munich malt type, which is more caramelized than regular pilsner malt. Dark-toned, round and delicious in a taste that gives space to the malts and is not nearly as hoppy as a typical pilsner.
Bavarian, bottom-fermented lager with 4.5% alcohol. Brewed with organic malt.

Copenhagen 17/4 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Southamptongade, Nordhavn. Nørrebro's usual design in very dark blue, red and pink.
Pours slightly unclear dark amber with small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is sweet, a little candy-like and very malty. Caramel, sweet brown sugar, butter, light roast, toffee.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery and lively texture.
Flavor is fairly sweet followed by a light sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit.
Rich, roasted, sweet Bavarian Lager. Brings a good Amber Ale to mind.
