A dark and full-bodied ale with a solid malty flavour and a pleasant sweetness, complemented by a gentle hop bitterness. The beer has light notes of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice, which balance the sweetness in an elegant way.

Copenhagen 29/10 2025. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Dark blue version of Nørrebro Bryghus' usual design which resembles a math book from the seventies.
Pours clear dark mahogany with a red hue. Mid-sized off-white head. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of toasted malts mingling with some sourish grains. Caramel, toffee and toasted bread. Hint of brown sugar
Light carbonation- Medium thick oily, soft, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with sourish undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet and semi-dry.
A quite sweet but not too heavy Christmas brew.
