Copenhagen 2/22019. 33 cl small chubby bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel). Drawing of Dragon chewing on a Brodan beer on the label. The description on the label is Hoppy, Brown Ale.
Pours murky dark brown with medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam managing to cover the surface of the beer and crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is sweetish with spicy, citric overtones. Caramel, coffee, lightly burnt dark malts. Strong citric notes of citrus and lemon. Hints of nuts.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Semi dry finish.
Fine American style Brown Ale. They actually mean Hoppy.
