Copenhagen 20/11 2018. 33 cl small, Chubby bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus. Drawing of family with 1980ties hairdo and ugly sweaters on the label.
Pours hazy amber with very big off-white head. Settles as 5 cm thick, impressive Crown of foam. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is a little dampened by the massive amount of foam. Sweet and roasted. Caramel, roasted dark malts, light fruitiness providing a fruity and fresh twist.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, prickly and lively texture.
Flavor is medium thick and pretty well balanced by a fruity bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with light bitter undertone. Lingers shortly.
Pretty light Christmas beer, so if you expect heavy, dark fruit and spices you will be disappointed. But if you like an Amber Ale with a moderate bitter twist this might be your thing.
