It is not the cleanest of water that is passed from the guests at Denmarks largest music festival (Roskilde). But it is actually great fertilizer. So instead of being a problem for the festival, Danish farmers have collected and used the urine to fertilize the barley fields.

The result is Pisner, the most well tasting recirculation the world has tasted. Pisner is an unfiltered Lager at 5,0% alcohol brewed with ecological hops and pilsner malt. It has a pleasant bitterness and mild malt aromas with a spicy touch of hops.

Copenhagen 27/6 2017. 40 cl bottle from Meny. Illustration of Reecycling on the label. The corn the malt is based on is grown using the waste from Roskilde Festival - which is mainly piss from drinking beer. Very bio dynamic.

Pours hazy orange with small white head. Settles as very thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.

Aroma is of sweet malts, flowery hops, saltiness and light sourness.

Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.

Flavor is sweetish followed by nice medium strong bitterness.

The most interesting thing about this beer is the concept. The beer itself is decent - but not terrible interesting.
